FOR 15 QUID I TAKEN THE RISK
lol..for that price..100% fake...some sellers modify the usb so when you plug it in your pc..it shows as 64gb, infact it will probaly be a lot less then that, about 8gb to 16gb....the problem arised when you exceed the usb storage limit , all your data, files photos etc..become corrupt...these could be irreplacable files and photos....

Definately a scam. Chinese sticks that are formatted to 64GB. Probably not even 8GB.

When you get it, format it and then tell us how much space you have.

Sorry mate. For 15 quid you can get a 16GB USB

Loads of peeps are on ebay selling fake USB pen drives and memory cards, mostly from China. They take a small capacity one, like 8gb and using a program format it so it reads as if it's a bigger size, like 64gb. It's a well known scam thats been around for ages now.

I would never purchase memory from ebay, and would never purchase anything from someone with 0 feedback.

I would not touch these either, firstly from china .... land of the fakes ?

Also, these two points ...

Capacities* — 64GB
Enhanced — for Windows ReadyBoost on Vista-based systems**

No where on the listing can I see where the * and ** is ref to ?

they could be 64giga bit, not byte, which is another trick they use, divide the number by 8 and thats roughly how much storage youll have

Just stick it in the pc, go to my computer, right click on the usb drive, click format and just do a full format and give it a name.

Hi,
Any news on this? I got stung once with an 8gb pendrive and you can put as much on it as you like, icons will show up etc but data will not be there. I just googled how to check them to get true capacity and came up with this:

h2testw (just google it).

it seems to have the best ratings for checking pen drives. I havent actually tried it though. Just google and you will find links for software to check usb drives.

Personally I would not buy sd cards or usb drives off ebay anymore unless the seller has a HUGE positive feedback and you have verified that its not for just buying 1p wallpapers or something. I now just buy from Play as its not worth the hassle on ebay. I have seen loads of people get stung on ebay with these things.

I hope this helps :)

This thread explains why my eBay bought 8Gb stick that I bought about 3 years ago could only ever seem to hold 4Gb of data, if I added any more everything got corrupt.

Swines.
