hi guys i just got a tm 600 today and i been looking threw some threads and stuff and im thinking the best ur image to flash to the tm 600 is the one dated 13/08/2009, am i corrct in thinking that ? also is it best to use the tm linux loader to flash the tm 600 ? thanks, all help very much appreciated

5-Pres info 2 times to get more info,
6-Press Red batten to get auto soft cam key update.
7-Auto re connect to LAN.press LAN batten then test by puling LAN cable out you will see front window start blinking .
8-in tm-500 go to blur panel and add any extra language
9-Added Quick factory reset,
10-Direct hot key for editing..press edit batten.
11-Hot key UHF to select UHF channel and sound.just press UHF batten .
12-Hot key to display LAN menu
13-Auto download blue panel

the 13/08 image is the one most people are using at the mo m8, you can either load via the TM linux loader, technomate control center or the UR miniweb, but this will be dependant on the date of the image shipped on the receiver
I use 2-7-09 image remote is sluggish but usb/image 100%
thanks for the replys, dd you said about using different programs for flashing the image onto the tm 600 depends on the date of the image on the reciever what happens then if i use the wrong program will it just say fail at the end and not harm the reciever at all or do i have to make sure i get the right program straight off ?
just download 13/08 image and thats all .
what digi mentioned are 3 methods that you can use to load the image..
nothing will happen to your box or your current image if they don't work.
usually the Miniweb always works and the other two depends.
just in case people who helped me out wondered how i got on, i tried using the mini web to flash the tm 600 but everytime i started the box with the power button held down it would just say fail on the box on the channel display, so thought i would see if tm linux loaded would do the job and thankfully it did, i put the ur image on dated 13/08/2009 and im just scanning my first satellite now so hopefully all has gone well, so thanks for the help and if anyone has an advice on the mini web not working for me i would be greatful in knowing how to do it for future reference,
not so sure cos i installed my 13/08 image on the technomate image using MINIWEB.
