Right people, I have managed to change my startup logo on the Navigo.
1. Create a 320 by 240 bmp file
2. Save it as Logo17C3.bmp
3. Switch off (not standby) your Navigo
4. Place Logo17C3.bmp on root of SD card
5. Start Navigo
Voila!
Mine is v1 Navigo but I see no reason why it would not work on later models.
And here is the image Ive used to test and it works sweet
