Just a collection in one place of what is used to do various things to the game ISO's before burning them as people are not sure what to do or what software to use

Better instructions are included with the archive

RegionFrii
Changes the region of your game, say from USA to PAL

BrickBlocker
The most important one if you want to stop your wii being bricked by accident when playing other region games. Use it to stop updates from USA/JAP games on PAL machines

WiiScrubber
Used to reduce the size of your ISO's, with key

IMGBurn
Probably, in my option, the best DVD burning software on the market

Its free, it works, and it produces very compatible and high quality burns for ISO images for the Wii, Xbox, DVD and audio CD's from MP3

Will also easily and efficiently copy your backups without any aggrevation. it will NOT backup orginals

wiiisocutils.zip -- FileFactory.com - free file hosting --

To download, click the link, then choose FileFactory Basic, then enter the 4-digit code and wait a few seconds before being asked where to download the archive

Follow the included instructions

But how to convert that into a WAD using WADder so I don't need the console connected to the 'net to do firmware upgrades/downgrades when softmodding

I can get 3.2firmware but where is 3.4 firmware, and games have the 3.4e full update on it, I can rip it off the game but need one with the full 3.4 upgrade

And I can download 3.2 and 3.3 updates using WUM but no 3.4 .......

so do I run brick blocker first then scrubber & then the region free if need be

Hi the scrapyard i would like to know this too please at the moment i am downloading my backups from torrent sites. So once the iso has downloaded what do i do with it before burning it with imgburn to make sure it does not mess anything up?Also can i now download Jap and Usa games? and what do i do to them to play them on a Pal system?

I know there is a lot of questions there but i am getting through every stage 1 step at a time being a complete newb to this.

MUCH APPRECIATED
RICK

Edit; My daughter was playing hsm3 dance game that i burned from a torrent site she has played it for about half an hour and it has just froze any ideas? I used datawrite discs dvd-r general purpose ones (yellow) burned with imgburn at x2 speed.

Any thoughts about this please

Just run brickblocker and regionfrii on non-PAL games, you don't need to run wiiscrubber at all

Technically you could just use WUM (Wii Update Manager) and check first if a game is going to try and apply an update and just block that specific game, but thats to much effort. So I just brickblock and regionfrii any USA or JAP game that I intend to play on my PAL wii

Wii scrubber is there to reduce the size of your games by removing redundant code that is there purely to make all ISO's a standard size, plus it does a few thinsg more like being able to extract or view the actual contents of the wii ISO, but you need a 'key' and you don't really need wiiscrubber unless you want to play with the image layout

But as you are burning it anyway, it doesn't matter aboyt wiiscrubber as it will burn it like that anyway, so its just extra time for no extra gain

Datawrite yellows should be fine as I used to use them, but now use DataWrite x16 full face printables as I print all mine now

I had problems with datawrite yellows - been using sony DVD-Rs and all has been good!
