AVG 8.0 removal

as it says, i cant get this off my machine, every time i try to remove it says it failed.

Try the AVG Removal Tool

You may have to install it again so that it runs succesfully.

I haven't tried it myself, so can't vouch for it's effectiveness.

When I installed Kaspersky, I removed all traces of AVG manually from the registry, that worked a treat.

ok, i have bigger problems. when i tried the removal tool (thx seedy) my pc freezes.

when i start safe mode my keyboard doesnt work(thx fearona)

help!!!

Did you use the Add/Remove programs option, or the built-in AVG uninstall method?

Grisoft recommend using their uninstaller through Start>Programs>AVG>Uninstall

Try reinstalling the app to overwrite any possible corrup files, then use the built-in method.

tried both methods m8. even thought of the reinstall too, didnt happen. im still stuck

a wee ps, avg wont update either. this is what gas caused me to get rid in the first place,

go to website for AVG and manually download update to a directory then within avg go to tools and update from directory -- that might help also d/l malware removal tool and run that as well

let us know how you get on

i cant get in to any user interface with avg to install any thing manually. im trying a few things from the website.

Try uninstalling through Crap cleaner mate normally works for tricky removals.

I used your uninstaller to remove AVG - worked for me.
