I've just got hold of another 250 to play with but when I connect it to HT all I am getting is what looks like the broadcom chip....

Here's the output if anyone has any idea's?

BCM3349A0
10000001034689

Found a similar problem in this thread here before posting but my lead defo works.....

Think I have found a solution to this :)

Got 4 dead modems here that I have been playing with, trying to restore back to origional FW and have bricked, 3 are BBTC memory chip and one is CBTC.

The 3 BBTC chips are reading out:

BCM3349A0
0000001034689

Which is what one of the modems I bought recently was doing as you know from the above, time to pay someone a visit they are not going to want!

And the CBTC is outputting nothing at all.

Just thought I would update you all.

Also does this mean that because the BBTC chips are still giving an output that they can be fixed?

:)

something is wrong with the base dump
try to get another dump from some one or take a dump from a working 250.
thanks

There was nothing wrong with them till I bricked them m8 ;)

Just bought one off someone recently that had the same output and hadn't seen it till today when I bricked a few myself trying to get them back to origional.
