Can anyone advise which is the corrct driver to use for Vista Media Center & Technotrend Budget C-1500, I've download one from there site but Media Center doesn't detect the card. I would try the others but I'm just off to work, so I thought I would ask this question now in hope that there is an answer whn I get back !

Thanks
Simon

I'm trying to install this card (for which I received no driver disc) onto a Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit system which has been freshly installed. I plan to use this card with Vista Media Center.
I have installed drivers from ttBudget2_5.0.0.2_BETA and have an entry in Device Manager as per the attached screen shot.

I've installed software from TechnoTrend 1.0.7.9_WEB file but when I run it, select the card it then comes up with a InterVideo Filter wasn't found error as per the attached screenshot. I've tried installing InterVideo WinDVD 8 to see if this would install the required filters but have had no joy.

Obviously I haven't got the card working with TechnoTrends own software yet, so I haven't even attempted to use Windows Media Center. I believe that I will need a program called DvbTMapper.exe any ideas where I obtain this ?

Any ideas any one ??

Thanks
Simon

i'm using a floppydtv on my vista media centre but have got a tt2100 in my pc and use ritzdvb. just installed the tt software and loaded no probs, using xp pro though, but it doesn't seem to check for the video filter, see attachment ...the only thing is i think i've got most codecs installed including codec packs not recommended for mce. The media centre vista has the mpeg2 codec preinstalled...may be worth trying another application like mytheatre, ritzdvb etc

Got it working with the Technotrend TT Media Center in the end after getting a copy of the correct drivers from DVBshop. It really quit stuttery though.
I'm trying Vista TV as I've been told that this will integrate fully into Windows Vista Media Center which I really like th look of, however I cannot figure out how to set up the Transponder list properly with this software, I managed it okay with the above TT Media Center.
I've inserted a sample of the German files that are included below and of my Services.xml for my area.
Any advice on what each column requires in the Vista TV files would be very much appreciated !!

The nit list is what you know as default frequency for your area.
If your default frequency is for instance 666.750mhz symbol rate 6952 a line could show like this:
666750000 06952000 N QAM64 C 45 DIGITAL

Hi all,

I finally got Virgin Media working in the Vista Media Centre, sort of...

I used the new 5.0.0.12 driver:

http://technotrend-online.com/download/software/bda/b2_driver/ttBudget2_5.0.0.12.zip

and the new TT MCE Tools beta:

http://technotrend-online.com/download/software/bda/MCE-Tools/TT MCE-Tools_BETA_1_0_2.zip

I'm not using a smartcard at the moment, I had a Trex 4.6 CAM lying around from a sat system

so I just edited the Predasaur firmware to add VirginMedia to the provider list, it doesn't AU

but they are not rolling keys that often in my area anyway and they are easy to change with the remote.

The main problem is that I can't get TTAutoDecode to work at all, [tried several different versions]

it detects the CAM ok but not channel changes, but I am using Vista64 which is not supported yet... 8(

To get encrypted channels working I have to run CamControl.exe in the background

and edit MultiDecode.txt with the SID details etc, it is not very stable though...

If anyone knows any magic tricks to get TTAutoDecode working please let me know 8)

I tried the headend edit trick but I still had to manually edit most of the EPG mappings.

BBC HD works fine, good job they're not using H264 video after all!

You will find that it will all work fine in my theatres recent release, as I had to pay for it when I was trying vista out. If you are planning to watch it on an external DVI device like a proper lcd tv, there are no proper nview drivers out yet, but they are just around the corner. I went back to windows xp because of this.

Perhaps you might want to try Media Portal
