Its probably been posted before but this is a handy wee tool if your usb pen is corrupted.
Mines wouldnt format at all and this wee tool done it with no problem.

its also useful for formatting pendrives and sd cards to use as boot media, ie running xp/vista/7 installs for netbooks and laptops without a dvd drive.

Yeh mines wasnt recognised either by my pc, when i right clicked properties it would show it as removable disc e but but it showed 0bytes and a pop up would appear saying you must format the disc.
When a tried 7s and xps built in tool it just came up error and when a tried the hp one it didnt work at first so i unchecked the quick firmat option and it worked then although it took 10mins..
