What channels was it? I think you can record and watch another if they are on the same transponder. Not sure about this box, just what I have read about other PVRs

That may be it m8, I was able to record a virgin on demand preview channel whilst at the same time watching another filmflex type thing !!!
At the moment I'm only picking up four channels all virgin preview type things, I bet that they are all on the same transponder.
How do I get my box to scan for other transponders ???

Hi all.
Got my box earlier today. Like a couple of others here I thought the front screen was pretty scatched up - that plastic film covering was very well hiden/attached on mine.
Did a scan - only took a few minutes. Obviously only able to view the Freeview channels at the moment.
Tried turning on the Live Rewind feature in the USB menu ( just set it to the lowest setting - 5 mins ) and it appears to be working ok ( i.e. it's basically recording as soon as you come out of standby - like a V+ box ). Using a 16GB pen drive.
Haven't really had a proper play so I'm not too sure if the aspect ratio is entirely correct. Also I don't seem to be getting a complete EPG ( lots of gaps and nothing at all on some channels ) but I might just need to give it longer to populate ( it's switched off for now ).
Just waiting for the firmware then - I'll have more of a play then.

i cant not see how you can record and watch a diffrent channel, when i program to record it jumps to that channel,,,ok if you just press record on the channel you watching then goto watch another channel that works, ok getting more into it,
you can only record and watch a channel thats on the same transponder, like record bbc1 and watch htv , you cant watch bbc1 and record sky films

You will find that when recording one channel certain other channels appear ticked which are the only ones visible until the recoring stops.
They do appear to be on the same transpponder as the programme being recorded.

I've just tried 2 different sticks in mine. A 1Gb worked but my 8Gb won't. The usb icon flashed briefly and that was it.
DW Dream has a 16Gb working on his but has the beta firmware so maybe this will be resolved when the firmware is released.

My 16GB stick seems to work fine. Some cheap USB sticks claim to be USB 2.0 when they aren't. I would think the faster the read/write speed the better.
Is there anyone else in ex-TW area getting a full EPG? Except for a couple of channels the EPG doesn't seem to populate.

Ill try a 1gb and 4gb stick a little later,I havent bothered trying any other sticks as the 16gb was seemed big enough
