Let's stop pampering to terrorist
This is it Nara you come up with the same uneducated answer every time
Excuse me. Are you the Judean People's Front?
The state of Israel is only around 60 years old. It makes no sense to go back 3000 years to when they chucked out the Canaanites.
Many Semitic peoples have lived in that region for all those 3000 years - not just the jews.
you need to go back 3000 years. because the Zionists have no claim to any territory, unless you think the Bible is a historical document. if you take the bible as such. the expulsion of the Jews, post Christ's death, is foretold. indeed is god wish, if they do not accept the Messiah. they are not to return till the accept, the Messiah. incidentally both the Canaanites and Philistines have gods blessing to abide in "the promised land". the Canaanites not only have god blessing, but were living in the area , prior to the exudes. so does that not make them the "proper" people to have a state? according to more than one scholarly rabbi, they are the predecessors of the Palestinians. as it is clearly not the Philistines. further underlining the claim of the Palestinians, to the area.
personally i don't think the Palestinians are in any way related to either. simply descendant's of the Arab invaders. they have still lived there longer than any Jewish state existed. (if indeed there ever was a a state of Israel prior to 1948)
though there is good archaeological evedence that the Hebrew society, developed/evolved, around 1500-1800 BC, that's it, no more tangible claim to the territory.
Most Arabs living in Palestine today are not indigenous to the region
You say:
That could also be said of the Jews.
It is not relevant to the current situation.
I'm not saying that history is not important, nor that it has no impact on how people act and think, but the problems there need to be solved by considering the needs of all the people living there not just the dominant power.
In all recorded modern history of warfare, hatred and evil, including the Nazis in Germany, the Communists in Russia and China, Pol Pot in Indo-China, etc. there did not ever exist the obscene outrage of suicide killers. Even the Japanese Kamikaze pilots only attacked military targets.
The model and inspiration for Osama bin Laden's suicide bombers who hit the World Trade Center in New York, and the Pentagon in Washington, and all the other suicide bombings and shootings since then (e.g., the case in the Indian Parliament, etc., etc.), is Yasser Arafat and the so-called Palestinians.
The concept that it is acceptable and praiseworthy to commit suicide for the sole purpose of murdering noncombatant citizens; the adulation for people who kill themselves in order to slaughter innocent women, children and babies; training and sending young men to destroy themselves just to kill old men and old women; this horror is the sick brainchild of Yasser Arafat and his cohorts.
He is the first. He is the original terrorist to bring this level of terrorism, this plague, to the world. He instituted this new darkness that now threatens all of us. He created the green light for others to follow in these bloody footsteps.
Hence, one has to be either naive or psychologically impaired to believe that giving Arafat and the so-called Palestinians a state of their own will turn today's baby killers and their supporters into peaceful neighbors alongside the State of Israel, or that offering them huge economic aid with joint industrial projects will wipe away their deep-seated, bloodthirsty hatred and commitment to the destruction of the State of Israel.
They want it all.
Emarald, I posted this in another thread:

I could easily have said it to you.
hamba The state of Israel is only around 60 years old.
I know , it was one of your better posts
Unlike your post below
Israel became independent on the 14 May 1948 only a fool would think that this was the birth of Israel, and to follow that line of thinking are we to assume India has only been around 60 years as they became independent on the 15 August 1947.
I have asked before and not one of you have been able to answer, so let me try again
1, Has Palestine ever been a State or country ? NO
2, What language do they speak in Palestine ? ARABIC
3, Do Palestinians have any sort of culture ? No what little they have mirros that of the Jordanians.
Please explain how any of what you are saying will help resolve the conflict that currently exists in that part of the world.
The questions you ask are irrelevant and show a marked bias towards one side and a lack of ability to look beyond your rather narrow viewpoint.
There are people living there now: what can be done to make all their lives better?
