Switch : Service could not be found

My dads just off the phone, he said that some channels are now displaying a popup box which says 'SWITCH : Service could not be found", the channel however has been found and is displaying perfectly.

If he presses INFO then cancel the box will vanish, but he's a moaning faced old barsteward and I'd really like to not have the popup appear at all - for my peace of mind and sanity! :)

He's running the latest DW image and Mgcamd.

Hi go to expert setup and tick hide error windows ****
 
This error was coming up when the movie channels moved back to normal, i.e. not _hid). Because the auto scanning had found the new channel and kept it in it's place, the channel would still work, but you would also get this error.

If you remove the channel from the bouquet, find the proper channel from the All Services page and put it back into the appropriate bouquet, I think that should sort it.

Unless your dad can do that, looks like you'll need to do it! :)
 
Hi I am in Ireland and was getting this problem I changed to evocamd and changed tuner to old and its bang on now I am also using DW image.

Also get this message if bad signal strength on a channel.
 
His signal is great mate, always above 90%
 
My signal is 96% in Ireland I have been told that anything below that can caus trouble mabey try a booster mate this could solve all your problems

The channels that he is getting the Switch error on have approx 96% signal, it's not a weak signal problem.

I'm also in Ireland,...Dublin NTHELL cable,..this has happend 3~4 times today ! although it does usually happen 4~5 time a week, I use a booster which gives a signal strength of 96%
with out the booster I get nothing.

I followed Devilfish's advice and it worked a treat :)

But it was all in vain as I ended up removing the entire image and replacing it with Nutrino Dream Plus. :)
