New Image: FTP (IFA & crossover) problem putting image on dbox

Attempting to load v2.1

So, in the past I've just used a crossover cable and a peice of s/w called Dboxcommand.exe to move it to the var/tmp folder. On this occasion the s/w seems to indicate that it has moved the file but it hasn't.

I then used FlashXP as an alternative: for some reason I can't do anything with the var/tmp folder, move things into it etc. For some reason I have a pacinov2.1 image in there but it is only 400kb not the 8mb. I have tried deleting it remotely, tried via the dbox but to no avail. I have tried chmod but that doesn't seem to work either.

I then tried IFA (for the first time) and I get an error saying something along the lines of unable to zap. I'm presuming it can;t move the file in place either.

Any ideas appreciated.

you want /tmp not /var/tmp

Hello GCN504, unfortunately Pacino V1.0 does not actually have a tmp folder as such, due to a programming bug, so you will have to persevere with the IFA way of flashing

Thanks didn't know that that directory would not exist.

For some reason I could not get IFA to work but reverted to the old method of just ftp'ing the file into the directory and then performing a flash using the dbox.

Pacino2 fired up shortly afterwards.

Yes thanks - dbox fired up with Pacino2.1 - think I'm missing quite a few channels but after just reading the 21 pages of feedback of v2.0 - I have an idea what to do about that tomorrow.
