I found a great piece of software called ACP which uses Virtualdub, Tmpegenc, Avisynth, besweet and madplay to convert a divx 700Mb film into a 700Mb Kvcd.
The quality of a Kvcd is much better than an ordinary vcd and slightly inferior to Svcd. I've just managed to convert and burn the entire hellraiser collection thats 6 films (yes SIX) to a single 4.5GB DVD-R with menus. All the films are of decent quality. I did have to cut 3 of the end credits but who wants to know who the chief gaffer is anyway. Search for it using google and best of all its totally free.

Heres A Link

Lots of other good stuff here as well. The programs under automated programs.
You'll need virtualdub, avisynth, bbmpeg and tmpgenc as well

I got the lot in one zip from suprnova.org but its no longer there.

Happy encoding

nice, how long does it take u 2 conver n burn a divx onto dvd

This program just converts the AVI to a MPG. You need to use a DVD Authoring program such as Tmpgenc DVD Author to convert the MPGs produced to VOBs. Then I have to use NERO to burn the DVD as I have a ASPI problem on my computer and the built in writing program in Tmpgenc DVD Author wont write.

NEW LINK FOR ACP (Get it free here - KVCD.NET charge $2.99 to use their forum takes
the piss information should be free. After all all the info provided by the ppl has been passed freely. Sorry all I didn't realise the last link took you there)

Oh yes the program converts DIVX,XVID,OGG,MKV and DVD VOB to 700MB MPG (NTSC or PAL). So you can fit a full film onto a single CD-R or 5 onto a DVD-R.
