Phone Unlocking whats htc hero rooting ?

dave i am using windows 7 are these tools compatible because i keep getting
"Access violation at address 00491425 in module
Android commander
Read address 007FFFFF
and all the entries are in red and say no such file or directory when i double click on them

still getting same error just different address I have unrared to the adb folder on root c: because if i try just on root it doesn't find the phone

got the file unrared to adb folder and still getting Access Violation at and the numbers vary.tried it in the root of c: but then it cant find the phone

might be the rom you are on, but thought of another way to copy your apps off.

1. get 'root explorer' from the market and install
2. launch and always allow root access when asked
3. navigate to SYSTEM then SD then either APP or APP-PRIVATE
4. scroll to desired app, hold not press finger on app until menu pops up.
5. choose COPY. You should then see the PASTE button appear on bottom of screen.
6. press back, back back so on the root.
7. navigate to SDCARD (which is the one windows can see) and PASTE.
8. then copy off when mounted to windows or leave it there ready for re-install
