CD & DVD Vu+ Duo (SkyHD Channels) to USB HDD to BluRay

Hi,

I want to be able to record from a Vu+ Duo box to USB HDD (that part is sorted) and then record that onto a BluRay disc. Would I need to convert the recording first or can I put it straight onto the BluRay disc?

If I need any particular software, can anyone recommend any please?

I haven't ordered the BluRay recorded yet, just want to know whats involved first. Hoping to get an internal one for my PC.

To me , the above is easy , but for a begginer..it will be quite difficult ..
firstly you would have to ftp into your duo box ... send the movie to your pc ..
then you need to cut the film , nice and neat ..start and end .. using a proper hd cutter ..
then you need to demuxe it , and cut out certain streams ..like "narrater"
then you will need a blueray authering program ... the film will only take up a small chunk from a shitty sat broadcast ..about 5gig for an average film ..
you probably better, using an avchd program and put it on a dual layer dvd .. do a google for avchd creator .. this is easy to use ,and search for image burn .. to burn it... the quality is same as it would on bluray ..
and cheaper ...
