tomtom go 530

I have a problem with a tomtom go 530 .When i turn it on it makes a start up sound but nothing appears on the screen .Before it packed up the screen was barely visible but now there`s nothing.I have replaced the battery but not to sure what the problem is?

sounds like it needs a new touch sreen,last time i enquired it was about £65 fitted.

I must admit i was thinking about replacing screen next they`re about £30 on ebay not sure if its worth wasting money on or just buy another..
