finally found somewhere to talk about my issue
I have a Solo about 2 years old and it appears to be working okayish few glitches etc.
it uses Openpli 4
Unfortunately my support man appears to have disappeared, which is a shame as he was usually quite helpful.
this has made me look around for a new contact.
now I'm aware of clones etc!
as I was sure I had a REAL item I wasn't too concerned......however I thought I would investigate further.
I took pics of mainboard and compared to Vu+ site. site pics couldn't be enlarged so it was inconclusive.
managed to learn how to load a Vu version 7 programme and used Return the Love plugin and I was told mine was real.
however someone told me that the plugin had been defeated by the badguys and I shouldn't rely on the info.
so I found more info re a Secret Chip on Ferari boards . I have this module/chip so now I' m convinced I have a clone.
im told that the chip holds/controls V2 firmware, and should I need to upgrade it or keep it running I should change the chip with an unlocked version which holds V3.2
it looks a simple enough job and im willing to take it on. However will this give me any benefits going forward?
will I still be able to use it as I currently do?
Im sure someone has faced and overcome this issue.
sorry for going on a bit, but I would like to know what to do and what happens if I do nothing.
