Merc 180d 2017 - enable traffic

Hi, I never paid Merc for Sat Nav, just bought the SD card back in 2017. I'm about to update to the v17 map but wanted to sense check all the ways to get traffic enabled.

I tried Merc and they said £119 per year, but that can't be right? Surely?

At that price I'll just have to get a mount and use my phone but I'd love to use the built in

I got the cheap SD card so have sat nav but am after live traffic updates

Bluetooth unit to phone, it should pickup Google traffic

Do you mean I can send Phone / Google updates into the Merc Sat Nav?

Or just use my phone. I'm doing that currently but really prefer to use the in car sat nav screen if I can over phone
