Electric bike conversion kits ?

Well just a recap on my Ebike

Had it over 6 months now and still working well

Charge the battery up to 80% and once month do a 100% charge to level the battery cells out

Doing two charges a week or sometimes 3

Brand new the battery held a full charge at 54.6 Volt, and now it's down to 53.8 Volt

So hoping I should get a few years out of if fingers crossed

Nearly hit 1.5K

Is your battery LiFePO4? Mine is, it's at least 3 years old and is down a bit on its original capacity/range but not drastically. It now gives me a bit of warning before it dies, the voltage drops from 50ish to about 46 and the drop in power is noticeable, this let's me know it'll just get me home IF I help it up the hills. Previously it would sit around the 50v and it was like someone pulled the plug out so I soon learned to zero the trip counter after every charge and try to remember not to go much over 30km before charging it again.

Oi oi Trevor m8 hope all is going well the battery runs on 18650 Li-ion batteries 39 inside the case , but do peddle assist 1 to 2 max at times and try to not stress them out as much , but still enjoy the leg burn feeling

Well my back wheel was making a noise and thought it was a bearing on its way out

Got a bearing remover tool to check and it's the housing cover plate that has snapped where the cassette connects to the wheel

Just sent the company a email to see if they would sell me the spare part ( finger's crossed )

The bearing on my old one is a 6202RS = 15x35x11mm

So was wondering if i get a 2mm Mild Steel Sheet Metal Plate and cut it to 16.5mm length and insert inside the outer bearing to knock the size down form 17.2mm to 15.2mm would that be ok ??

Cheers ;)

Is that 17.2mm the internal measurement ? If so what the external measurement of the bearing the outer case ?

  • Screw mounting distance:211/212mm
  • Overall height:34mm
  • Material: Alloy aluminum with bearings.
  • Internal bearing Freewheel Side D:17mm
  • Internal bearing Brake Side D:17mm
  • 8X screw hole:M5
  • Bolt to bolt distance: 82.1mm

A collar may work if its a tight fit and unable to spin, if it spins it likely to destroy itself as it spins.

So 17.2 internal down to 15.2

Well got the new outer cover and tried a shim but that failed

How would i knock the bearing out as it not fully open to knock it out on the outer plate ??

I can get a replacement quite cheep as the outer is 35mm not 40mm as advertised by the seller

Well dug out my Dremel and think that should work , knock out the center and cut the outer a bit to force out

You just dirft it out mate from the outside as it would be on the wheel1710432989348.png to the inside.

Use a 1/2 inch socket extension bar place that over the bearing centre and crack the extension bar with a hammer it will drop out complete.

Obviously the plate has to be raised to allow it to be knocked through.

On the picture you can only see the center bearing 15.mm and not the outside 35.mm

Going to have a shot as it has to come out anyways

Cheers for the reply ;)
