Last couple of Freeview box’s I’ve had are the BT DTR T2100 with 500gb hard drive. They were in used condition and bought from eBay at a decent price. Can’t remember what to be honest but less than £50.
Decent little devices with plenty of storage and decent UI.
They have all the Freeview apps within its firmware and all the Freeview channels through an aerial when connected.
The boxes don’t have Wi-Fi, so you have to connect an ethernet cable if you want to connect to any Freeview Internet enabled services.

Got one of those BT boxes and also a Humax. I paid peanuts for the BT box (used), on ebay and it's been absolutely perfect.

I bought the Humax box new, very well reviewed everywhere, and it's not wonderful. Being wireless is an advantage, and the recordings are perfect, but the operating system is laggy and clunky compared with the BT, and I can hear the hard disc working when it's recording with the tv off. The BT box is completely silent.

Cheers about the link

The one I pictured is my spare as the first one I bought lasted several years but the hard drive gave up the ghost, so I have spare just in case the same happens again.
I know I could wait for delivery for another but I hate the sd quality on some of the catchup apps. It’s like watching recordings from the 80s🙄
I also got the mother law one and she loves it.

Many thanks all cheers 🍻 after signing up with them and putting BT DTR T2100 with 500gb in search bar come up with this ? Would you say all a much of a much 🤔

@chadda I think recorder A,B or C is referring to the condition of the device. Graded from A to C.
A being the best condition.
You don’t need the Youview+ HD smart as this is an enhancement for your BT package if you have subscribed to BT. But it won’t harm either if you buy one with it on.
Just get one of the standard you view boxes and it’s up to you what grade you go for A B or C.

@chadda I have noticed that they have two grade A boxes. If you go for a grade A box, just get the cheapest one at £55 which has Youview+ hd smart. These are also newer models.
It should also come with the newer remote that has rubber buttons and is more robust.

Nice one avid will go for this one 👍 that the one you said

@chadda the one below the one you’re going to order is a grade A for £55

If you have your internet from BT then you can get great TV deals from them, I have their box, Now entertainment and Netfilix all at 4K on multiple devices for £15 per month
