Hi everyone,
New to this forum, so just a quick hello. Have a bit of a question for you which I would like any suggestions on.
Just moved in to a new house and decided to get a new tv, preferably for my gaming room but the other half wants one above the fireplace in the front room fireplace to have more floor space. The 55" Samsung 8000 model to be more or less exact.
I have a few choices like chase the wires in the wall or faff about with removing the fireplace / drilling holes in the fireplace ( MDF ) to try to run the cables out of sight.
Another option which I considered, which would look the best internally was to drill through the outside wall and have 2 hdmi's, power and cat 5 on the outside wall of the house. Is this a realistic plan provided I do it properly?
I'm looking to have an AV Receiver and essentially drill 2 bloody great holes in the external walls to hide everything................. yes I could do it all internally but without getting the whole wall reskimmed again, I don't want to see the evidence
Has anyone done this or can think or advise of any pitfalls they encountered?
