free plex for firestick

first:
From the Fire TV Home screen, select Settings
Go to System -> Developer Options
Enable both the ADB Debugging and the Apps from Unknown Sources options.
Go to System -> About -> Network, and take note of the Fire TV's IP address

l had installed plex for £3.90 but plex is playing up and was refunded

but after alot of playing l managed to side load plex for free

download adbfire adbFire just open program dont use it
then open command prompt (click start and type in u will see it )
make a folder on your desktop and put adbfire in there and this plex apk l have uploaded
now in your command window type in your your adbfire is like this c:user/desktop/adbfolder

(i didnt use adbfire program but you can try but didnt work for me )

now your in your folder use this commands

>adb kill-server
>adb start-server
>adb connect <ip-address-of-fire-tv>

ADB is connected when it reports the message "connected to <ip-address-of-fire-tv>:<port>"
Run the following command

>adb install plex.apk

now because the is side-loaded you have to go settings >applications>managed installed applications and launch from there .

lm still looking for a way to add to home screen , will update here

Have the same problem with Kodi and having to >applications>managed installed applications and launch from there.

Did read a workaround of loading Llama and then have that launch Kodi. Seemed very fiddly way of doing. You could adapt to launch Plex.

i have found you need to open ikono first then use the work around and also restart the fire tv when done

I followed this youtube video and much easier to setup than other ones I've seen. Now have shortcut for Kodi on my Fire TV stick.
