Windows 7

With all the publicity there's been about the ending of support for Windows 7, I've been playing around with a copy of Win 7 Ultimate on an old laptop.

The surprising thing is, I find it easier to use and much more intuitive than Windows 10 which I've been using for years now.

Is it just me?

I'm still using 7. Apart from the annoying no more support message when I open chrome, I still prefer it to 10.

I only moved to 10 for DirectX 12.
I believe you can now run it on Win 7, but to late for me, i cant be arsed with the hassle of going back.

I never thought there was anything wrong with xp. Everything was easy to find, not hidden several clicks deep like Windows 10/11. However Microsoft likes to make extra money and gain more control of it's operating system. I must use Linux more one of these days.

Windows 8.1 i thought was decent but like Windows 7 it is pretty much gone down same road no support from this month with
Windows 10 not far behind 2025 also support for Windows 11 21H2 ends this year
