I think only those with the 3 ohm capacitor on the isolator board have it. Otherwise its the fixed asparatulate.

I have found those ones to be unreliable, have you seen the ones with the 5 pico farad resistor? They run hot but, output a steady stream of refractrarons.

I have, actually had one recently but the heat output was too much, ended up having to attach a bipolarisation module to the Picard board.

You could try cooling it by running some dihydrogen monoxide over the sprongle.
