Hi All.

I have a daily basher watch (Omega Seamaster) and it has started to lose time, it's only a quartz movement and i have always replaced batteries myself (Renata) and used to have it serviced/pressure tested cheaply at my local watch shop but they have since closed.

It loses time after approx week on a new battery so i'm considering using an online repairer/service to get it sorted.

Has anyone done this as i have other dress watches which will need doing also in future and postal cost's are relatively cheap.

Cheers

I personal wouldn't send my watches through the post, luckily I live in London so can choose an official or independent watch shop and get there by public transport.

I have not use any of the above, I have always taken my watches into the Regent St boutique but Omega will charge you around £360 for a full service for your quartz watch.

Ive sent all of mine to Martins of Glasgow for the past few years. excellent service , fully insured etc. turn around can be slow running about 2 months the last time I sent one. I am going to try a different firm in london next time on recommendation of my mate who has sent to rolex to them. But for customer service and excellence I cant fault Martins . Price has gone crazy on serving I think personally
