Amazon Fire TV is launching in the UK on 23rd October 2014.

Normal selling price will be £79, but existing Prime customers can preorder for £49 until Monday (8/9/14)

It's Amazon's alternative to Apple TV, Roku, Now TV box and Chromecast. Beats the first 2 on price, beats all on them on spec.

But it remains to be seen how useful the extra processing power actually is... i.e. can the community add "unsupported" features whether that's Now TV or XBMC.

I bought one back in march from the bay and I think its brilliant, not into gaming but asphalt8 is pretty addictive, XBMC run without no problem and also has plex, Netflix, spotify, loads of other apps including amazon prime instant video. So loads of options. The remote is Bluetooth so box can be tucked away nicely

Just got an Amazon Fire TV and installed latest Kodi (XBMC)on it, but now im struggling how to add all add ons and what are the best for movies, TV series, live TV, US TV, etc....

any help would be very much appreciated..quite new to this....

just add source http:// fusion.xbmchub.com and http:// srp.nu
and install what you need from there

Anyone used one of the new Amazon Fire TV sticks to run Kodi on? Wondering if they work ok.

They've not yet released in the UK, but has been available for a while in the US.

However, the official kodi wiki states the Fire Stick is supported, and installation is the same as the Fire TV.
