Aberdeen 0-1 Hibs
Celtic 1-0 St Mirren
Dundee Utd 2-0 St Johnstone
Hearts 0-0 Motherwell
Kilmarnock 1-1 Inverness

A late goal by substitute Kris Commons saw Celtic maintain their Scottish Premier League lead as the Hoops saw off plucky St Mirren.

Commons, on for Freddie Ljungberg, combined with fellow replacement Shaun Maloney within eight minutes of coming on to settle the nerves at Celtic Park with the hosts running out 1-0 winners.

The victory extends Celtic's advantage at the top of the table with Rangers taking on Hamilton on Sunday.

Hearts lost more ground on the top two as they were held to a goalless draw by Motherwell but Edinburgh rivals Hibernian enjoyed a better afternoon, winning by a single goal at Aberdeen.

Akpo Sodje put Hibs on the way to victory as early as the 15th minute and the visitors emerged the winners to leave the Dons in tenth place.

St Johnstone were down to ten men within 15 minutes at Dundee United as Steven Anderson picked up two bookings to earn an early bath.

And the hosts made them pay when Johnny Russell netted just after half-time with David Robertson sealing the points five minutes from the end.

Kilmarnock and Inverness shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, Liam Kelly cancelling out Jonathan Hayes' 10th minute opener.
