Hardware Sharkoon 2.5/3.5 Inch SATA/IDE USB Dock

Anyone have one of these, are they any good?

I have loads of old hard disk which I don’t want to throw away in case there is something important on them.

I don't know about the sharkoon dock you have mentioned but I have one of these. 2.5" 3.5" SATA/IDE HDD 2-Dock Docking Station e-SATA Hub: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories it works great if that helps.

They get good rating in Amazon. Actually tried to buy one but the supplier let me down several times and never ended up getting it.

There are somebad reviews on Amazon . I got mine from eBay but have never had any issues at all.

Thanks guys, I’ve had these ones for some years and I’ve had some success with them in the past but they don’t seem to work with my latest computer.



I might go and get one from Maplin’s tomorrow; I know Maplin’s are very expensive compared to amazon but at least if it doesn’t work I can take it back.

Thing to remember with the IDE to SATA docks/adapters is most (all?) are not hot swapable.
