12:15 Hearts vs Hibernian
Hearts and Hibernian battle for bragging rights in the Edinburgh derby, live on Sky Sports 3 & HD3.

Hearts boss Jim Jefferies, who is preparing for his first derby since his return to Tynecastle has a host of injury worries to contend with before finanlising his side.

Jose Goncalves, Ryan Stevenson, Calum Elliot and Arvydas Novikovas are the latest concerns for Jefferies, who may be forced to field one or more of Andrew Driver, Craig Thomson and Scott Robinson, despite the trio having only just returned from serious knee problems.

Michael Stewart (calf), Marius Zaliukas (hamstring), Ismael Bouzid (hamstring), Marian Kello (hand), Ian Black, Ruben Palazuelos, Johnny Stewart (all knee) and Ryan Wallace all remain out.

Hibernian are hoping to welcome back Sol Bamba, Merouane Zemmama and Lewis Stevenson from injury.

The trio missed last weekend's Scottish Cup quarter-final against Ross County with respective shoulder, hamstring and ankle injuries but all three have trained this week.

Alan Gow (hamstring) and Kevin McCann (toe) remain sidelined for John Hughes' men, while Colin Nish serves the final instalment of his staggered three-match suspension.

15:00 Aberdeen vs Dundee Utd

Dundee United will be aiming to cement their place in third spot when they travel to Aberdeen.

Andy Webster is available again for United after the Scotland defender missed last Sunday's cup draw with Rangers because of the deal which took him to Tannadice on loan from the Ibrox side.

But he is free to play again this weekend so will come back into the team, however fellow defender Paul Dixon is ruled out by an ankle injury.

Striker Damian Casalinuovo will be missing due to a hamstring injury, while long-term absentees Lee Wilkie (knee), Danny Cadamarteri (calf) and Scott Robertson (groin) are all out.

Aberdeen are without midfielder Gary McDonald because of a hamstring problem.

The 27-year-old limped off during Tuesday night's defeat at St Johnstone and looked set to be ruled out for the rest of the season, but he might only miss out against Dundee United and the following weekend's game with St Mirren.

Captain Mark Kerr has shaken off a sore groin to play, while Peter Pawlett (knee) and Andrew Considine (hip) are long-term absentees.

15:00 Celtic vs St Johnstone
Celtic play host to St Johnstone aiming to close the gap on league leaders Rangers.

Artur Boruc returns to the Celtic squad for the game at Parkhead after the goalkeeper was given compassionate leave to miss last week's Scottish Cup win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Captain Scott Brown serves the second game of a three-match SPL ban while Jos Hooiveld and Glenn Loovens (both hamstring), Paddy McCourt (knee) and Shaun Maloney (tendinitis) have all trained this week and will be monitored.

St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes could be without 12 players.

Martin Hardie, Kevin Rutkiewicz, Steven Anderson, Stuart McCaffrey, Graham Gartland, Murray Davidson, Andy Jackson, Peter MacDonald, Collin Samuel and Kevin Moon are all out through injury or illness while Steven Milne is doubtful.

In addition, on-loan striker Cillian Sheridan is not allowed to face his parent club but Saints' official website confirmed that the club have completed the signing until the end of the season of 19-year-old Josh Falkingham, who was with Leeds until the end of December, and he will be in the squad.

15:00 Hamilton vs Falkirk
Hamilton play host to Falkirk on Saturday aiming to move a step closer to safety and in the process push the Bairns closer to the drop.

Accies manager Billy Reid has no fresh injury worries to contend with as he looks to build on last weekend's win over St Mirren.

Midfielder James Wesolowski came off the bench in the 78th minute against St Mirren after recovering from a hamstring injury and is in contention to start.

Long-term casualty Derek Lyle (knee) remains on the sidelines.

Falkirk welcome back key midfielder Scott Arfield after suspension for the relegation six-pointer.

Mark Stewart, Danijel Marceta and Carl Finnigan have all returned to training following injury but the New Douglas Park clash may come too soon for their comebacks.

Defender Pedro Pele (Achilles) remains a long-term absentee for Steven Pressley's men.

:FRIGHT: It's the big one tomorrow, not confident at all, we've went off the boil in the last few weeks, but in derby's you never know.

SPL round-up

Hearts secured local bragging rights in the Edinburgh derby, while Celtic claimed a much-needed win.

Elsewhere, Aberdeen displayed commendable battling qualities on home soil and Falkirk were held in their basement battle with Hamilton.

Hearts' preparations for a local derby with arch-rivals Hibernian were far from ideal, but they bounced back from consecutive defeats in fine style.

Two goals in the space of three first half minutes helped to see them home, with Andrew Driver and Gary Glen putting them in complete control.

Derek Riordan did pull one back for Hibs late on, but the Jambos held on to give the Tynecastle faithful something to shout about.

Celtic cut the gap at the top of the table to 10 points with a 3-0 win over St Johnstone, but they are running out of time in their efforts to usurp Old Firm foes Rangers at the summit.

A 16th-minute strike from Josh Thompson, a 67th-minute penalty from Robbie Keane and a late effort from Georgios Samaras handed them maximum points at Parkhead on Saturday.

Aberdeen saw their winless run in the league stretched to nine games, but they can take heart from a 2-2 draw with Dundee United.

A Jon Daly double put United in complete control, but the Dons responded in the best possible manner.

Zander Diamond gave them hope on 32 minutes and Michael Paton calmly converted from the spot on the stroke of half-time to ensure the game ended all square.

Hamilton and Falkirk also put on a four-goal thriller, and also had to settle for a point apiece.

Scott Arfield edged the Bairns in front on 26 minutes, but the SPL's bottom club were unable to hang on to that advantage.

Mickael Antoine-Curier pulled the Accies level on 50 minutes and Simon Mensing put them in front from the spot eight minutes later.

Falkirk replayed through Robert Flynn inside 60 seconds, but neither side could find a winner.

Well at least the big teams had a rest today LOL.

Away to the final tomorrow. Hopefully 1 down 2 to go.

WATP.
