Just got my MDA Vario II and would like to run Satnav on it.

Can anyone please push me where I can get more info on this.

Which is the best software and if its free to run.

I have a gps receiver already and awaiting delivery of 2gb micro sd card.

Thank's

I have installed Tomtom ver 6.030 and I have paired it with my bluetooth gps device,
but the tomtom is not recognising the gps device.

What can I do?

Have you made sure you are connecting it to the right com port.
Pair bluetooth allocate it a comport and then go into tomtom and configure it to the bluetooth device on the same com.

Have you checked it in TomTom Preferences > GPS Status
Should give you the option to choose your GPS Device

Try setting TomTom preferences to the other com port... E.g I think there is an incoming and outgoing port you need to set one not the other, so just try the other one, lol

Sorry havent done one of these in a while now... :) When you go to Bluetooth Devices check the GPS is paired Connected and Authorised. That should be it really as far as I can remember.

LMAO, Waiting for GPS signal is different to not finding the GPS device...

1, Make sure you are outside
2, Turn on the GPS receiver
3, Wait a while it doesnt always pick up straight away

If it still doesnt work your GPS receiver/GPS Module might not be working, you might need to try another one or test it with the software it originally came with... Or test it on another phone, it might just be faulty...

Its working m8,

Thank's for all your help.

I went back and redone the com ports and checked on the website for the gps what lights come on when its paired.
Coz it was showing paired on me phone but it was actually paired as stated by the way lights were flashing.

I thought me gps was buggered n all.
