hi my wii is currently chipped with wiifree but i plan on having it rechipped but i just dug out a jdm programmer and thought i would try to update so i can play mario galaxy, problem is i have the same prob no matter which programer (tried 2) 1 home made and 1 i bought i have also tried 2 pcs, i have tried icprog, winpic and winpic800,

icprog 1.06a = i get no oscillator value found do you want to use value from file 3hhhf instead
i click no then i get programing failed at code address 0000h.

winpic = basically i just get programing failed

winpic800 = the bandgap value of the pic is 0x03 use value on buffer 0x01 if i press yes or no i get
error writing address 0x000000 written 0x2306 read 0x3fff

when i read the chips back they come back blank and if i press prog with no hex loaded it goes through the process with no trouble at all, the jdm i bought has a led on and always lights up when programing so im sure its working and the software picks up both programers anyone any ideas, thanks, any help appreciated.

Hmmm...

I've just had my new JDM progger delivered and I'm getting exactly the same errors....Did you get it fixed or does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

The jdm programmer has a problem trying to reprogram pic chips and requires a mod to get it to reprogram, it requires a mosfet fitting as when the pic recieves power from the programmer it starts to run the cod that is already programmed to the chip which is why it won't reprogram.

did you ever manage to sort this out mate?

got a jdm (cant remember when i boight it, been in my tool box for years), trying to write YAOSM to a 12f629 and get the exact same errors as you

what do i need to do to fit mosfet? any pointers?
