Hi all thanks for the great tuts, managed to install V7 and uk and Ire maps only problem is I can't get it to find the GPS on my XDA zest anyone know the settings that work for this model cheers?

Go into preferences and in there it will let you select gps device. select your device, i dont know whether it has internal device or you are using external and make sure that you have the correct com port set up. also, baud rate set to 4800 (or something similar to this).

To find the comp port, in windows mobile, click on start > settings > connections > internal gps. it will ask you which com port you want to use for the device.

I have an older HTC Trinity/P2600/XDA Orbit/Orange SPV m700 (why do carriers have to change the damn names for every HTC phone).

Any way the only way to get tomtom working is to NOT set it internal GPS, but to SET it to other NMEA reciever with a baud of 4800. Then it works fine.

Setting are in tomtom itself.

does anyone know how to solve this issue for an X1?

I have installed TTn7 with Australian Map, it fails to pick up a GPS signal

I have it configured to use 'internal GPS device' , COM2 and rate 4800

still no luck
