hi guys wats the est programe to use
for converting avi xvid to watch on pda

I find Virtual Dub the best to use, Very simple to downsize an existing avi ( Divx or xvid) for PDA.

Filter using resize, and use something like 320 x 196 for 16:9 and 320 x 240 for 4:3.

I use xvid compression at ~200-260 bit rate.

I have an old computer and it converts in about realtime.

Hi, I use PocketDivXEncoder. The program allows you to select video/audio quality to suit your external memory card. I've had 100% success with all the movies I've encoded.

i found this( WinAVI 3GP-MP4-PSP-iPod Video Converter )
will this do it or i normally use winavi for xvid to dvd can that be used?

winavi 7.7 has bugs be careful!!!!

Ive always used WINAVI to convert movies. Found it really useful as will convert to any type of file from any type of file. Very Useful as sometimes movies downloaded are different types.
