hi all
can anyone help me in the yorkshire hudds area i,ve just had my slimline v14 chipped. the troubles im having are it will not load ps2 originals dvd or psx backups but it will load ps2 cd-r backups and original psx games. to play psx originals i have to press the reset button till it go,s into standby then press it again for about 3 seconds then it loads original psx games. the reason i,m asking for help is the gent that chipped it is hard to get hold of and its been like this for a few weeks or is it the laser? it had a new laser fitted just before it was chipped.
is there a process to follow to check it? are help would be great.

What chip did you use?

The person who chipped it for you, Do you know if he has done this before?

I'm presuming the wiring has benn messed up and it's affecting the laser in reading the diffrent formats as you say it will only pick up on ps2 cdr and psx originals. To my knowledge both are cdr format

Have a read around in the forums I'm sure this has been answered before.

If you take the time to read a few threads you will be suprised how much info you can gather.
