iPhone Free Replacement?

Anyone know the method this guy is using?

If I were to guess. I'd say he is getting apple to replace it under warranty. That's why he needs the serial number to check if it's still under warranty. Easiest way to find out is to ask if he can still get it replaced if it's water damaged. As apple won't replace a water damaged phone.

I think you'll be surprised as to how many people forget/cant be bothered with chasing up their warranty.
Not sure what else it could be, I know apple are great when it comes to replacing phones, if its under warranty, more often than not they will simply replace it.

so messaged him asking if this would still work if phone is out of warranty and here is his reply:

"yes it will but it depends what iphone you have i wont do them all
