how do l scan a Nokia DBOX

Never had anything to do with Dbox2 nokia a mate turned up with one today that he claims has just stopped working this week. Im in a pure ntl area (s########horpe) 3.7 I've no idea if it just needs to be reset and and auto searched (if so how) done a search but its all greek to me

When l boot it up it says "COMMANDO 6 WOD"

Can his box be sorted via windows as I've been told l ned to use Linux which l dont have on my pc and no idea how to use it .If I can update via windows XP can someone let me know how

Also how do l get into the service /scan menue

Any help or advice would be great

Image may need a reflash or simply a rescan. Many areas have switched channels around to different transponders. I guess you have a commando image. What happens when you boot up?

I get COMMANDO 6 WOD image but no channels how do l rescan? can l load a new image via windows?

dbox menu
service
service scan
start scan
if its gonna work it will find transpoders and then scan them
