E-Cigs face new restrictions

This is a very rocky road for the Government to be going down but prompted I suspect by the potential attraction of yet another tax revenue stream.
I stopped smoking conventional cigs. a year ago with the assistance of E-Smoking or 'Vaping' as it is more commonly known to the enlightened.
There are two component parts to vaping; the equipment & the chemicals. Now what part of the kit can the drug regulatory reasonably control?
The answer of course is the chemicals but to the roll-your-own faction of the vaping community this consists of two readily available components;
1. Propylene Glycol
2. Glycerine
neither of which can be reasonably regulated.
