I'm pretty sure you can, I had one in before and I dont remember any probs with audio..

DVI is basically HDMI without the audio, you cant convert DVI to HDMI and the audio will magically appear

you will still need to use optical or something for your audio

Yes I can confirm this works 100% The DVI to HDMI lead supplied with my DM800HD didnt seem to work. So I used a DVI tp HDMI adaptor from fleebay which looks exactly the same as the one in your link and the standard HDMI lead that came with my Original SLY Plus HD Box works fine audio and video.

The standard DVI spec doesnt specify audio, I think the pinouts on the connector on DM800s is internally modified to carry audio and video.

Yeah.
I didn't think that DVI carried sound, didn't on my old LG t.v.
Think there must be two different formats knocking about.

yeah there is a dvi-d and and dvi-i , dvi-i carries video and audio.

That one on e-bay is ok because it is dual link.
