thinking of trying linux as dual boot first with windows, wondering what size i should do partitions got a 128gb ssd

Sorry just to clarify,I meant 20GB as a partition size for linux not for both windows and linux, windows could probably do with at least 40GB

I user on my laptop also windows and linux. I have divided it as follows. 50GB for Windows and 15GB for Linux (Ubuntu). I have big programs on Windows and Linux is only for testing.

I would go with a minimum of 60GB for windows, we installed 60GB SSDs in machines once and 12 months later they gave us a headache with filling up!
