hi, been borrowing a hard drive for my vu duo as wanted to see if i would use it before buying one, have found out im using it all the time, was looking at a western digital one 500g which is 7200rpm, but for 10 quid more i can get a western digital 1tb, but its a green one which usually means 5600rpm, will this still be ok for the vu duo ? will it make any difference or not,

Might just be me but I thought that the slower drives were quieter. I seem to remember that the dm600 I had actually had the option of turning the drive speed down.
sorry it's a bit of a late reply. Let me know how you've got on. Haven't slotted a new harddrive in mine yet.

i ended up buyin one of these for my pc's operating system to go on

Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB.. | Ebuyer.com

and it was really quite, so went for that for vu duo aswell, its been great really quite western digital hard drives, also dint really need the 1tb size as 300g one i was borrowing i only had that down to 200g left so thought 500g one be more than enough for me, hasnt let me down and nice and quite,
