Car from the isle of man

Hi,

Theres a car i'm after which is being offered at a very good price however i have some questions as the owner says he imported it from the isle of man and that it doesnt come with any service history, its only done 49k according to him.. hpi is not returning anything which is strange so i was wondering if any of you have any experience and can shed any light on this?

ask the seller if the manual has the name of the dealer that first sold the car. if so do a search on them and if all seems ok with the dealer phone them and ask if they have any background info on the car. eg; colour, eng no, vin no. dont know of anything else to suggest.
