Bad Reception

I have placed a new head unit in my car and the radio reception is rubbish....Is there any way that I can boost the signal ... or get a better reception??

u can buy an aerial booster from any decent car stereo shop. except to pay about £10

Maybe check or replace the coax and connector.

Normal fault is that the aerial is not grounded to the car body correctly. You may have had an ok reception with your old set because the coax shield was grounding through the radio's chasis. Check to ensure that you have a decent earth to the radio. Go straight to the car body if you are unsure.Unless you have a Lotus or Reliant Robin of course!
