Anyone know what to change in oscam.conf so that the webif gui can be accessed using an external ip?

I've tried changing the httpallowed field with the following settings:

httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.1.0-
httpallowed =
httpallowed = 1

Non of the above work ... it only allows computers on the same local network access to it ... if i try from any other computer i get 403 forbidden message pop up.

Surely that'll be a massive security hole if it was allowed? and I'm not sure it can be done by design

VPN to the internal network and then access the WEBIF via that?

It would still ask for username/passwd so still secure (as long as your passwd etc are strong enough) ... problem with VPN is as soon as i activate, it kills the share.

Can you not just forward port 80 tying it to your box/server and then access it through your DNS daddy?

if it's port 80 then it isn't secure mate - you are exposed to eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle attacks where anyone can obtain the username / password that is sent in clear-text. Hense the reason only internal IP addresses are allowed to use the WEBIF.
