Gorgeous creatures, and beautiful photo's. We see quite a few wild ones here but not easy to get pictures of them, they are rather timid. Plus I wouldn't feel good about startling one with a flash. I actually saw one catching a bat a few weeks ago.

They are m8, luckily these were on show at York Museum Gardens last Saturday and it would have been rude to ignore them, would love to get some in flight sometime.

Funnily enough, a big snowy flew past me last night- a bit distracting when you're looking for passing satellites, but nice all the same. And just as silent
