I'd gone into Win 10 Update as normal and was confronted by large message from MS telling me that my smooth running Acer laptop wasn't compatible with Win 11 - just find this very daunting for we 'mere mortals' who don't necessarily have the knowhow to carry out necessary measures as suggested...

Just been informed by my Win 10 Update feature that my 8GB RAM laptop is not suitable for upgrade to Win 11 shortly, i.e. does not meet suitable specification for this. Surely this is not acceptable - to be expected by MS to buy a new laptop which does meet Win 11 spec? Any advice most...

Update: Thanks again as managed to get it to work on laptop - still Win 10/Edge with all security & Malwarebytes turned off but obviously SOMETHING must be slightly different pc to pc!

Thanks mate - obviously I'm having issues with my pc security - even though I've turned off all firewall & virus detection controls AND Malwarebytes, I'm still getting failure with download totally rejected 'due to virus detected' - which we know is actually a false negative/positive.

Nope - also same in basic Google without Edge!

I believe it may be a recently introduced security feature in Windows Edge - now having to restart pc even though I'd thought I'd got rid of it all lol! Hacktoolkit not like by Edge downloads!
