Thanks for this info. I have tried Smirnoffs DM800 backup image (Excellent). I would like to have a play with an image that has/allows AutobouquetsMaker [ABM] (as opposed to Lraizer's Autobouquets [AB]). It sounds like I should give OpenATV 4.0 a try.
I have a DM800HD clone (Smirnoff's...
One of the reasons I was so keen to use your backup image is that being it was for a DM800 (like mine), that mg_cfg shouldn't require any changes. On other images, I always had doubts about mg_cfg as well. Your image removes that variable (and there are several possible changes that could be...
When I did my full scan, I did set it to "clear before scan" so I hope that all your channels have gone. I haven't got to the stage of wanting to organise the bouquets (based on Lraiser's EXCELLENT work) yet.
It just feels as though either mgcamd is not working or not set...
Thanks for suggestions.
DM800 has (internal) ip address adjacent to DM500 (192.168.1.9 and 192.168.1.8 respectively. They both work OK on home network (ie can SmartFTP the DM800) & Internet (confirmed by downloading Sherlock Plug-in)
I have both DM500 and DM800 fed from the same cable source...
First of all, thanks for sharing your DM800 backup image. I am just transferring back to cable from satellite for predictable reasons.
I have a dm800 clone with a new Philips CU1216MK3 tuner and ssl84b. I have just swapped the ALPS satellite tuner for that Chinese cable tuner. It was working...
I have sammy 2100c (No paired N3 card) that has that annoying message every time you change channel. I want to use it as a FTA receiver feeding a Tivo. When Tivo wants to change channel and record, it sends the change channel instruction via IR blaster......but that damned message spoils...
Eeee thee all had it easy...
My first salary was about £33/month as an engineering apprentice. I had an 80 mile a day commute and had to pay for that myself! ....That's ignoring an earlier job washing up at a cafe which paid 2/- an hour (10p/hr in this new-fangled decimal stuff).
Not sure but suggest:
Unistall Bitcontrol (from Control panel)
DON'T RUN BitControl
Copy 2 license files into the correct directory
Hope it works (Maybe if you boot BEFORE pasting lic file, in runs in demo mode)
Download BitContorl eg from download area
Assuming WMP is installed, create a shortcut to WMP such as
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" bcmsdb://192.168.x.yyy/"
Or open WMP and open bcmsdb://192.168.x.yyy
Should do the trick.
Changing/Editing Channel numbers
I faced a similar problem when I wanted to renumber channels to match Tivo (ie VM) numbering system.
Everyone is right in suggesting DreamBoxEdit. I also found the changes were not accepted sometimes so I made a file (called Blank...in download area) that...
My (bitter and time-consuming) experience has been that sometimes I can get VLC to work (some channels, some with sound, some never work). Result: Frustration.
I have also tried DreamView, DreamStreamer and Web-TV-X and some others.
OK This is not quite a straightforward FREE offer. But it is free so bear with me......
What you get : Free Network Magic software.......
Let's assume you have a home network with 2 or more PCs. Have you ever struggled to get networking to share files/folders? Can you sometimes only copy...
Oops Humble Pie Time!
OK It's time a a large slice of humble pie.....
I used the Circle2 Paypal code yesterday and got the £10 discount. I said that I hadn't had an email from EBay/Paypal....which was true.
Imaging my embarrassment today when a promotional card arrived by post from EBay...
Worked for me
Circle2 worked for me. £10 off Paypal (with no minimum purchase).
I didn't get any email. It just worked. I don't think anyone really knows who it will work for and who it won't. Best advice....give it a try...you don't have much to lose!
(Thanks will be posted.)
Remember last keys entered.....possible?
Thanks for the work done.I can confirm that it works....
I know this is only a (temporary) workaround but is it possible for this software to "remember" (store) the last entered keys?
It is OK to enter ALL the data the first time but...
