Hi guys, I have a [DLMURL="http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/index.html"]Jetway DTV DVB-T PCI [/DLMURL]which I got from ebay a few months ago but aint really happy with it to be honest... I dont know if it just because im a total newbie to all this or the card is just rubbish... So im looking for some advise and any tips really.

Firstly I cant get it to work with any other software other than the software that comes with it, I emailed the company and got a reply from K-World with a link to the latest drivers and newer version of the Remote Control app and DVB-T Plus but still cant get it to work with anything else... I installed an app called DigiTV but it doesnt pick up the device, erm the Nebula thing rings a bell to but that didnt work either.

Secondly iv been reading and confused about all this mention of .dvb files etc is this a standard thing for DVB-T PCi cards?

If anyone can help in anyway I would be very grateful...

Hi bally12345,

I have never seen the jetway card working... so this is best guess
Looking at the features of your card it looks pretty impressive and has both digital and analogue inputs...I am guessing two sets of drivers here.
It looks like your card uses BDA drivers (which would make it compatible with most of the aftermarket software) try showshifter, mytheatre,Meedio TV or Sesam.tv (have not tried the last two myself yet)

The other side of your card (analogue) will probably use a twain driver and will work with programs such as InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2 for making recordings from tapes, camcorders etc.

As for .dvb files... these are files created using other programs such as DCDVBSource to allow you to use you card in conjunction with media players such as windows media player (also other functions... read other posts)

You don't have a nebula card, so nebula software is unlikely to work

**update** I have just downloaded the drivers for this card and can confirm it uses bda drivers.... looking better and better.

hope this helps

Darcy

Thanks for your reply darcy, iv downloaded some of the programs and will test them as soon as I pop down to maplins and get a aerial to get a signal as I left my aerial at my halls of residence at uni.

This also is called K-World DTV DVB-T PCI if that helps any further.

I cant get a signal in my house so it looks like im going to have to wait until im back at uni before I can do any proper testing... Iv tried some of the software and atleast its detecting my card etc so thats I good sign, just the little matter of getting enough signal to tune any in.

I went to Maplins real quick and bought a Set-Top Aerial for £10 thinking that would do the job but how wrong was I... Even tried connected it to a signal booster I had and still nothing.

Thanks for all the help Darcy
