Hi guys.

My TM 5402 packed up over the weekend, absolutely dead. Had a look found the following:-

Fuse blown.
C7 470mf bulging.
Bridge diode D4 Short Circuit.

Relaced above and reservoir capacitor 47mf 450v as a precationary measure.

Now I have some life in the receiver. Its stuck in standy, red light flashing.
Conected to PC with Null Modem Cable
Tried force download, switching on while holding on button in front, no joy.

Suspect maybe a problem still with Power Supply. Due to nature of fault may have damaged FET.
Anyone know where I can get a TM 5402 HD Power Supply.

Try contacting Tecnomate I read recently somebody bought a new supply for a TM6900 for about £25 and it arrived in a couple of days.
Mind you that's a obsolete model so they may be selling them cheap.

I have TM6900 and the output voltages of the supply are marked on the circuit board.
Perhaps you can measure the voltages it may give a clue to the fault.
Maybe a faukty cap or diode.

Thanks for that
As mentioned above have found some faulty component and replaced. Looks like its had quite a surge.

@manic01

Will do.

Direct from Technomate would be best bet m8, if youve replaced the obvious damage and still not working, at least youd then have a price for a replacement, and would know wether its worth looking deeper at the PSU, or simply replacing it

I bought a power supply for my tm-6800s+ last year direct from technomate. Delivery was rapid cost was approx £40 once delivery was added.
