Hi.

Sorry to resurrect an old discussion in a new thread.

I have an S9 Openbox and I've switched providers. My old provider used a C line and my new one has given me a test N line. I've deleted the C line from the S9 and then run in to a spot of bother.

One of the old threads said to put the N line into Notepad and save as Cccam.cfg and update by USB, but another post has said to put it into Notepad and save it as Newcamd.list and update by USB.

I created both files and put them onto USB, plugged it in and tried to update the newcamd.list. It couldn't find the file.
I tried to update the cccam.cfg and it finds the file and puts it in the box where I can choose to activate it. Trouble is, although it reads online, everything is scrambled.

The update of the newcamd.list sounds like it's the correct way to use an N line, but I don't understand why it wouldn't be able to read it from the USB :s

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the very same issue

I think when I did it i had to remove the n: and replace it with CWS =

just do it manually mate
go to cccam server , manage cccam.cfg , add then change protocol to newcamd and add server addy port user and pass

save and activate

Exos has nailed it on the head. Ur a friggin genius m8!!

Changed the "N:" to "CWS =" and it reads it from USB. All channels working the best :)

Thanks for the quick replies and perfect solution!

is it n: or cws: you are tryin to use ?
also once you have added details its just exit to take you back to the account page(i think will plug one in and check )

Some openbox need new sw which activates teh usb/config which has been disabled by the factory to prevent updates.
This can be seen when trying to update images for example and the 'File mismatch' will show.

It's a cline, just thought I would post on this thread, rather than starting another. If I press exit, it takes me back to account page but no cline has created.

Thanks

Was wondering how can I update firmware when the USB is not working?

Thanks

You press the Menu button, go down to Network Local Setting, go across to CCcam plug setting, go to Manage Config Files, In manage Config files, choose CCcam.cfg, Click on Add (Blue Button)

Protocol leave at CCcam
Host = IP Address
Port = Port Number
User = Username
Password = Password.

So if your cline looked like this

C: 192.168.1.22 12345 user pass
Then in Host you would enter 192.168.1.22
Then in Port you would enter 12345
Then in User you would enter user
Then in Pasword you would enter pass
Once done, press the yellow button.
You will now see the cline saying C: 192.168.1.22 user 12345 Offline.

Now press the Green button and it will put a tick next to Offline, exit the menu and it will say saving, Restart the box and it will work

Have done all the above m8 & when I hit the yellow button it just stays on the page you put all the info into.

Looks like this box will be going into the bin once this line runs out :-(

this file has a flash program in it
also before you try this there is a way to change files over the network
remember that a full flash will erase the cline and channel list
