... Just signed up for my 0151 number. Seems people have been using these guys for years as their main home number! Just have a read. They also do free 0845 type numbers. If you want to make out going calls via this service, you just top it up with credit, and even if you only use it to receive calls and never top up, they never delete your number or account.

Great for people with a small businesses (like me) on a tight budget (yep) and tight in general (afirmative).

As a heads up too, I have installed a little free java app on my phone called Nimbuzz which routs all your VoIP calls to your 3g mobile, it also handles all your other communication apps like Messenger, Skype, etc... Think there are various iPhone apps for iPhone user floating about for routing and handling VoIP services.

Good post, been using sipgate for a few years now & have recently installed nimbuzz too. On some nokia phones you can actually register your sipgate account using nokias own sip stack, saves using a 3rd party program and the sound quality seems to be much better that way.
